Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

Once you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport(TIA) our staff from the Eco Nepal Trekkers will receive you from the airport and transfer you to the hotel.

Note: Depending upon your arrival time you can visit the office later after checking in your hotel for a short meeting.

While visiting the office make sure to bring your passport, insurance proof, and some PP-size photos for official paperwork.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla from Kathmandu or drive to Manthali (Ramechhap) and a flight to Lukla, and then trek to Phakding

Direct flights from Kathmandu to Lukla are available only in the off-season.

After you reach Lukla airport you will meet your guide and the porter. Then you will trek to the Phakding which is relatively short and easy. Then after you reach Phakding you will stay overnight in the tea.

Day 03: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar

After you have a hearty breakfast in the teahouse of the Phakding you will prepare to reach the Namche Bazar. It will take 5-6 hours to reach Namche Bazaar from Phakding.

After crossing the Dudh Koshi River and passing through several suspension bridges you will reach Sagarmatha National Park.

Then after checking the permit at the checkpost, and walking in the forest area, you will ascend to the Sherpa village, Namche Bazar.

On the way, you can see the magnificent view of the river, glaciers,s and mountain peaks.

Day 04: Acclimatization Day at Namche. Hike to Hotel Everest View and back

Today is an important day for acclimatisation in the beautiful village of Namche Bazaar from where you can see the astonishing views of snowy peaks.

We will hike to the Hotel Everest which is situated at the altitude of 3880 m (12729.66 feet) above sea level. You can have dining at the Everest View Hotel with a beautiful 360-degree panoramic view of Everest.

Day 05: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

After spending enough time in the Namche Bazar, now it is time to leave. Early in the morning after having a delicious breakfast, we will start descending towards the Dudh Koshi River then again we will walk uphill towards Tengboche.

It will take us nearly 5 hours to reach Tengboche and on the Everest base camp trek route, you can see the amazing mountain view of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse and Nuptse the entire time.

Once you arrive at Tengboche we will have enough time to visit the famous Buddhist shrine, Tengboche Monastery.

Then exploring the monastery and surrounding beautiful mountain peak we will return to the tea house for dinner and sleep.

Day 06: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche

Dingboche (4,410 m)

5-6 hrs trek

Today is your sixth day of trekking in the Everest base camp trek with helicopter return. Leaving Tengboche after having morning breakfast we will head towards Dingboche. Following the Imja river we will head towards the beautiful Pangboche village.

Then further walking while observing the magnificent view of the mountains such as Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Lhotse, etc we will reach the hamlets of Dingboche.

On the trails of the Dingboche you can see Mani walls, prayer flags, prayer wheels, agriculture fields, and settlements of yak herders.

Then finally you will go to Dingboche which is situated at an altitude of 4,410 metres. Make sure to check your health conditions and if there is any presence of altitude sickness or not.

Day 07: Acclimatization Day at Dingboche. Hike to Nagarjun hill and back

Today is another important day to acclimatization at Dingboche. Having enough rest and spending the night in Dingboche will help to adjust your body to high altitude.

Resting means we will not skip the hike. Therefore we will hike to Nagarjun hill which is located at the altitude of 5100 metres.

From the top of the hill you can see magnificent views of Lobuche, Thamserku, Taboche, Kangtega, Mt. Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Cholatse, and many more.

The main highlight of today’s trek is you can get the stunning view of the world’s fifth highest mountain in the world, Mt. Makalu.

Day 08: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche

Early in the morning after having breakfast and saying goodbye to Dingboche we will head towards Lobuche which is located at altitude of 4910 m. Walking about for 5 hours you will reach Dingboche.

On the route you will start observing that there will be no more trees and greenery. Now the trekking path will convert into bare and filled with snow. There are a limited number of tea houses in these areas.

Note: Today make sure to sleep early because tomorrow’s trek will be one of the challenging as well as rewarding.

Day 09: Trek to Everest Base Camp and then back to Gorak Shep

8-9 hrs trek

Finally today is the day that we will trek towards every trekker’s dream destination Everest base camp. After having breakfast and gaining energy we will trek towards the Gorak Shep which is situated at the altitude of 5181 metres.

While hiking through the Khumbu Glacier you will have an amazing feeling. But be careful while walking in this world’s highest glacier. Follow your Guides carefully.

Day 10: Morning Hike to Kala Patthar and descend to Gorak Shep and ride shared helicopterto Lukla
