Ghorepani poon hill trek is known for being one of the easiest and one of the most famous trek routes of Nepal. The trek starts from Pokhara to Poon Hill which is our main destination. The total days of this trek are from 4 to 5 days straight trekking each day with spending the night in the homestays.
This trek is best suited for all kinds of trekkers due to its easy routes and well-managed routes for trekking. In this trek, we pass through the beautiful paths filled with rhododendrons, beautiful green valleys, ponds, lakes, and breadth taking views of snowed mountains and mountain ranges.
The most suitable season to start this trek might be in the spring season because, in the spring season, we can witness the different flowers and plants filled along the trekking routes. This season we can see a clear view of mountains and mountain ranges.
After reaching the poon hill we can see the beautiful rays of sun starting to highlight the snowy mountains and witnessing one of the most beautiful sunrises in the world. After finishing the sightseeing at Poon Hill our next destination will be trekking to Tadapani. On the way to Tadapani, the road is filled with beautiful aromas of rhododendrons and other eye-catching colorful flowers and green valleys.
After reaching the Tadapani we spend the night there at a trekking lounge where they offer good hospitality towards guests and good food for them. All the lounges and guest houses are modern and well-facilitated. They offer good food, a good source of water, a clean environment,
and wifi as well.
The next morning we start our journey from Tadapani to reach Jhinu Danda. Before we reach Jhinu Danda we pass through the village called Chhomrong. On our way to Jhinu Janda, we can see lots of hot springs, and the trekkers can enjoy the hot springs. After reaching Jhinu Danda we spend the night there and get prepared for the next day.
The next day we start our journey from Jhinu Danda to reach Shiwa Ghandruk Phedi. This will be our last destination of our trek and after reaching Siwa Ghandruk Phedi we take a bus to Pokhara and our trek officially ends there. Altogether the trek lasts for 4 to 5 days and we can
see all sorts of memorable things which are going to last for your life. Beautiful scenery of mountains, lakes, hills, snowed mountains and mountain ranges, and beautiful sunrise.

Today, you’ll take a scenic drive to Pokhara through the winding roads. The road leading out of the Kathmandu Valley winds its way down the valley wall to reach the Trushuli River below.

Today you will drive to Nayapul, where the journey starts. Your first track will ascend through rice, maize, and millet farms that are rich in fertility. Then you will continue on the Birethanti main trail past a small waterfall until you reach Sudami, where you will stop for lunch.
After the mid-afternoon rest, you will ascend slowly along the valley’s edge until you reach Tikhedhunga Teahouse, where you will spend the night.

As you cross the suspension bridge close to Tikhe Dhunga, you will prepare for the hike you have today. The steep stone staircase leading up to Ulleri village has more than 3,000 steps, making it more of a climb than a trek.
The trail becomes gentler as it emerges from the woodland above Ulleri and travels through meadows and pastures. You have breathtaking views of the Annapurnas, Machhapuchhare, Dhaulagiri, and Hiunchuli from the pathways. You will continue via the town of Banthanti on the way to Ghorepani, where you will spend the night.

Today, you will start your early-morning ascent to Poon Hill. The mountain ranges of Dhaulagiri I (8167 m), Tukuche (6920 m), Nilgiri (6940 m), Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8091 m), Hiunchuli (6441 m), and many more can be seen from Poon Hill.
After taking enough pictures of the stunning sunrise over the mountains, you will drag yourselves back and return to the lodge in Ghorepani for a well-earned breakfast before continuing to Tadapani.
To get to Banthanti, the trail descends through rhododendron forests. The route next climbs steeply through a cane field to Bhurung Khola before turning upward once more for 20 minutes to reach Tadapani, another lovely town with breathtaking views of the Annapurna peaks.

You will head towards Nayapul early in the morning. You will pass through breathtaking hillside scenery, woodlands, and terraced rice fields. At Nayapul, where your trekking comes to a close, a vehicle will take you to your Pokhara hotel.
You’ll be rewarded with stunning vistas of the Himalayas, including Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, the peaks of Annapurna, and others, even from this urban setting. In the evening, you have time to explore the neighborhood, including the lakeside walk, and of course, the captivating Fishtail Mountain that dominates the skyline.

After breakfast, you’ll begin your exploration of the valley in the early morning. You will briefly stop by the UNESCO World Heritage Sites while on your valley tour. The journey departs at Swayambhunath’s stupa on a mountaintop and travels to Kathmandu Durbar Square.
You will admire the ethnic diversity of the courtyard before moving on to Pashupatinath, a Hindu holy place. Hindu pilgrims from all around south Asia perform rites in honor of Shiva, the Lord of Destruction.
At the Boudhanath stupa, where monks and worshipers sing, the trek ends. Later that night, you will take part with a group of hikers. After preparing everything you might need for the journey, you’ll rest.
Day 10: Final Departure

Best Time to Visit Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek
The most suitable seasons for Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek are autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May).
These two seasons offer ideal weather conditions. The key highlights of those seasons in Nepal include a pleasant environment, blue skies, warm temperatures, crystal clear mountains, vibrant visibility, no snowfall, and fewer chances of rainfall.
However, if you go on a walk in the winter or during the monsoon season, you may not encounter the conditions described above. The monsoon season produces heavy rains, while winter is chilly and snowy in Nepal.
