The unstoppable energy of our organization’s owner, the managing director of the trekking company, and the founder, Pemba Tamang, has generated unforgettable adventures. Pemba was born in the glorious Himalayas. The story of how a mountain lover becomes a successful business entrepreneur is written somehow into our company’s history. Pemba’s visionary approach to tourism stems from his considerable past management skills while retaining a strong affection for the mountains. His ‘entrepreneurial’ attitude is embedded in each corner of our trekking activities—route development, structure, and quality. In Pemba’s dress approach, he does not only manage in the boardroom; ownership is moderately active in that he goes beyond understanding the scope of management by making every trek an expedition. Kiran Tamang, the Guide and Team Leader of trekking expeditions has had many adventurous activities and loves the mountains with all his heart. Having an extensive understanding of the various regions and people inhabiting the Himalayas, Kiran is truly one of a kind in every trek he undertakes. In the capacity of a Team Leader, Kiran is responsible for coordinating team members and organizing events so that it is happy trekking for all the team members. There is a nice blend between his firm set of rules and his approachable character which encourages team spirit. Coordination in Kiran is in such a way that, where the focus for trekkers is supposed to be only on the beautiful natural vistas and their cultural explorations, the logistics do not crowd boundaries of comfortable inconvenience. For Kiran, guiding is not only about leading the way, it is also about being able to tell the people getting onto the trails about the history and culture of the places that they are visiting. He speaks local languages which helps him in establishing connections with people that go a long way in enriching the experience of the people he accompanies. Kiran Tamang is an excellent Trekking Team Leader and Guide who inspires others whilst fostering a love for the mountains and the principles of safety resulting in transformation during every trek expedition.
