Mardi Himal Trek – 12 Days Overview

The Mardi Himal Trek is an underrated trek route of the Annapurna region. This trek is very popular like other trek routes and only some people have completely explored this trek route.

This route is not so crowded even in peak trekking season. This trek is not so hard to complete but still needs some past trekking experiences and is recommended for beginners and newcomers.

This trek is 1706m to 4200m above sea level. The most suitable season for this trek is spring (March) or autumn (September and November). We can see beautiful wild flora and fauna and beautiful clear views of mountains and mountain ranges. The beautiful sights of mountains like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Macchapucchre, and Manaslu ranges can be seen clearly during the spring and autumn seasons.

This trek is peaceful and not so crowded so this trek is going to be easy and well managed. This trek provides beautiful scenery of mountains, different wild animals, plants, and mostly Rhodondornes when we visit in peak season.

The route is filled with adventurous activities of up and down hills, and narrow paths but filled with beautiful scenery which is going to fill your heart with joy and happiness. An up-close look of Mt Macchapucchre, Himchuli, and Annapurna south can be seen in this trek.

And not to forget the path filled with the aroma of rhododendrons and other flowers. Many traditional and cultural villages can also be seen and visited while on this trek. Those villages offer hospitality and traditional cuisine to the visitors. These types of simple but very important things attract visitors to this trek and the trek also offers a beautiful and memorable trek to the visitors.

The Mardi Himal Trek is the best option for those who love to trek in a peaceful environment with their friends and family. Likewise, other trek routes also provide breathtaking views of mountains and mountain ranges and also the beautiful sight of sunrise for the snowy mountains. It would be best to visit in peak season because the mountains will be more visible and the trek will be filled with beautiful aromatic flowers, especially Rhododendron.

Useful Information

When to Visit Mardi Himal Trek

Selecting the ideal trekking season is essential for the most enjoyable trekking experience. This covers the seasons of autumn and spring.

March to May, the spring season, brings consistent weather and comfortable temperatures. You will be able to see the stunning mountains, scenery, and rhododendron flowers in full bloom throughout the route.

Autumn is a fantastic time of year to undertake the Mardi Himal Trek, in addition to spring. The autumn season (September to November) features clear skies and stable weather. You’ll be treated to breathtaking mountain vistas. The teahouses and walking paths will be crowded because this is a particularly popular trekking season.

It’s chilly to travel in December and February. But it’s an excellent time to dodge the crowds. You can go outside and spend some quiet time. Make sure you have the right gear because wintertime might bring a lot of snow.

The monsoon season in Nepal runs from June to August. There’s a chance of rain and clouds. When the water gets clean during the monsoon season, the surrounding area turns green. However, a lot of rain might cause landslides, so monsoon is not the best time to go on the Trek.

Mardi Himal Trek Difficulty

Both novice and expert hikers can successfully complete the Mardi Himal Trek, which is regarded as a fairly moderate trip. It provides a tolerable degree of challenge so you may take in the splendor of the Himalayas without exerting yourself to the breaking point.

As you approach the Mardi Himal base camp, the route progressively climbs. As you go higher, it gets a little rougher, but it’s not too difficult. To properly enjoy the walk, though, it’s necessary to be physically fit and have some prior trekking experience.

In comparison to other treks in the area, the elevation of the trek’s highest point, 4,500 meters, is considered to be modest. On this climb, altitude sickness isn’t a huge problem, but it’s still a good idea to acclimatize properly and pay attention to your health.

It’s important to carry the right clothing and equipment to feel comfortable on the trip because weather conditions can change. Although there are some steep hills and forested areas on the landscape, there is no technical climbing or hazardous terrain.

Best local trekking company in Nepal!! An increadible journey!..and the Best local company in Nepal. I did the EBC + Chola Pass + Gokyo Lakes. Pemba (owner) customised my trip and took care of everything! I had a great guide Prayash who really helped me through the trek and gave me lots of knowlege and stories of the Everest region. I have been to mountains of Europe/USA/ NZ but the raw beaty of the Himalayas is something special. The physical challenge of altitude, the tea houses, high bridge crossings, Sherpa culture and all the fellow trekkers and climbers make this trip so unique. It has been a highlight of my life and i was fortunate to go with a local company who are genuinely passionate about sharing the Himalayas with you. Also at end of trek they organised sightseeing tours. I was also able to contribute to the companies charity in a small way some by donating some stationary and sports equipment to a mountain school. If you are going to Nepal i would highly recommend Pemba and his team of guides. I will be back! Namastae
