Before beginning a worthwhile climb to Tikhedhunga, start early with a full meal. We will go from Pokhara to Nayapul through Lumle in a beautiful 90-minute drive while passing through charming villages.

We set out on our hike from Nayapul via bamboo forests and verdant hills before stopping at Birethanti to enjoy tea and see mules transporting goods.

We pass waterfalls, terraced fields, and small towns on the way. The day contains some challenging ascents through Ranghai and a final descent to Tikhedunga.

From Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani, the journey is long but fruitful today. To get to the charming Magar town of Ulleri, we start the day with a hearty breakfast, cross a suspension bridge, and then ascend a flight of winding stone stairs.

Visit a campground to relax and take in the lush meadows. Our journey to Nangethanti for lunch continues, and we eventually reach the traditional village of Ghorepani.

We say goodbye to Dovan on this day and go to Deurali through a quiet bamboo and rhododendron forest. Prayer flags in various colours that line the trekking trail liven up the area. Before continuing your journey, pause for a moment to enjoy the distinctive atmosphere.

We’ll pass the Himalayan Hotel and Hinku Cave, a historic shelter used during Annapurna expeditions, as the forest gradually transforms into a desolate landscape of boulders and scree. The end of our day’s hike is at Deurali.

We start the day with an early meal and then begin the ascent across rugged terrain. It’s important to pace ourselves as we ascend to the trek’s highest point while taking in the breathtaking mountains in the area.

At Machhapucchre Base Camp, our first stop, we’ll take pictures of the magnificent snow-capped peaks. We’ll go for around two hours before reaching Annapurna Base Camp.
