One of the most amazing parts of the trek is the hike to Larkya La Pass which gives you an astonishing view. The path goes through different forests where you can spot various wildlife animals and species.

During the trek, you can also hike to Manaslu Base Camp or Pungen Monastery while you acclimatize in Samagaun. Throughout the trek, you will get epic sceneries. The trekkers who love challenges and adventures will definitely love this trek.

The route is also not too crowded as the route is not highly popular like other trekking trails. This will help you to give you a good opportunity to enjoy the trek in peace. The green meadows and pastures add beauty to this trek.

The Manaslu Circuit Trek begins with a picturesque drive to Soti Khola/Machha Khola via Arughat. Then the trek begins from Soti Khola to Machha Khola. The next day, the trail follows the route to Doban. Enjoying the scenic views, the trail ascends to Philim.

After Philim, our trail heads to Deng. Continuing the journey, we ascend to Ghap which brings deeper to the region. From here, we will head towards Namrung. The deeper we get into the region, the more we get closer to mountain views. The trek definitely gets harder due to the rough paths.

Trip Map

When to Visit Manaslu Circuit Trek

The autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May) seasons are the greatest times to go on the Manaslu Circuit Trek. The best weather and trekking conditions for the area are during these months.

Autumn weather is typically calm and consistent, with comfortable temperatures and great visibility. The mountains can be seen in stunning detail because the sky is frequently clear. The hills and woodlands around are decorated with brilliant colours during autumn, which also highlight colourful landscapes.

Rhododendron blossoms bloom in the spring, highlighting the trekking pathways and transforming them into a gorgeous scene. Trekking is enjoyable at this time of year because of the mild and beautiful weather. Additionally, the longer daylight hours of spring make for more pleasurable and relaxed hiking trips.

Both seasons have pleasant temperatures that make walking enjoyable during the day and cool nights for sleeping. However, it’s crucial to know that weather in mountainous areas can be unpredictable. Therefore it is advised to check the weather forecast and be ready for possible changes.

Manaslu Circuit Trek Difficulty

A good physical fitness and endurance level are needed for the Manaslu Circuit Trek, which is considered a difficult and strenuous trek.

The track has a variety of topographies, including rocky trails, steep ascents, and descents. The average day of trekking should last between 6 and 8 hours. Therefore hikers should be ready for long walking days.

The great altitude of the Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of its main difficulties. Larkya La Pass, which is located at a height of 5,160 metres, is the destination of the trek’s highest point.

Trekkers are urged to acclimatize correctly and ascend carefully to reduce the danger of altitude sickness, which can be an issue.

In addition, the trail requires negotiating suspension bridges, rocky, uneven terrain, and perhaps inclement weather. Trekkers should be ready for a variety of weather conditions, such as chilly temperatures, powerful gusts, and sporadic showers.

Despite its difficulties, the Manaslu Circuit Trek provides trekkers with breathtaking mountain views, tranquil surroundings, and cultural interactions with nearby towns.

A safe and pleasurable trekking journey depends on careful planning, which includes physical training, acclimatization, and carrying the necessary equipment.
