Mardi Himal Trek – 3 Days From Pokhara Brief Insight

The trip to the Mardi Himal trail in Nepal has become one of the hottest destinations among Nepal Trekking trips lately. As for a new pathway that was just opened in 2012 which surprised everybody and attracted a lot of people. Among the many journeys available for new travelers, this is the best design and the expeditions that will help you to be mesmerized by the Annapurna range.

The principal factor that makes it so attractive for tourists is the bright mountain scenery and location. The Mardi Himal trek is one of the great short, low-endurance treks that can be completed in 3 – 10 days depending upon the itinerary you choose.

Your short 3 Days Mardi Himal Trek starts from Pokhara and ends in Pokhara. You can undertake this short 3 Days Mardi Himal Trek if you like to witness mountain views in a short period of time. But If you have two weeks of vacation then we suggest you undertake our 10 Days Mardi Himal Trek Itinerary.

The trailhead of the hiking adventure is to quite some extent analogous to many other Annapurna region trekking in Nepal. The first place everybody visits is Pokhara as usual. Many people tend to tick the box with “a night at an Australian Camp on our first day.”

The best part of Mardi Himal Trek is that you get to enjoy the premium views of Mardi Himal—5,587 m (18,330 ft)— as well as the other snow-capped mountains like Annapurna I(8,091m), Annapurna South(7,219 m), Machhapuchhre(6,997 meters) and Gangapurna Himal (7,454m).

This trek is especially one magnificent place that provides beautiful mountain views, different types of wild animals in green forests, and where the hiker can cross the rivers and ridges in this single walk.

Is this Mardi Himal Trek suitable For you?

Being Graded as moderated in difficulty this trek is best for both beginners and experienced trekkers. This is a new trek that offers a stunning view of the Annapurna region in a short time.

With a little preparation for physical fitness, anyone can join this trek. The maximum altitude that you will reach during this trek is base camp which is 4500 m. Compared to the Everest base camp trek and Annapurna base camp trek, the Mardi Himal base camp is easier.

Although the chance of altitude sickness is lower in this trek we should not neglect its symptoms. The route is quite peaceful yet a stunning view of the mountain will amaze you.

Transportation

Mardi Himal base camp is located in the Annapurna region therefore we need to reach Pokhara first. Pokhara is easily accessible by road and flight. If you take the road you can reach it within 6-7 hours depending on the traffic and road conditions.

If you wish to reach more comfortably and in a faster way then getting on a flight will be the best idea. You can reach Pokhara by flight in around 25-30 minutes from Kathmandu International Airport(TIA).

Note: The cost of all ground transportation will be included in the package. However, the cost of the flight will not be included in the package. You need to pay for the international and domestic flights on your own.

Wifi, Electricity, and Drinking Water

You don’t have to worry about the wifi, electricity, and drinking water for the Mardi Himal trek. You can get in the tea house after you pay a little extra. The wifi connection might not be good at high altitude areas but at lower altitude areas the connection is pretty good.

For drinking water you can buy bottled water from the tea house. Also, you can refill the water from the tap or other natural source of water. But while using the tap water or natural source of water you need to purify water by using the water purification tablet. It’s not safe to drink directly from the natural source of water as it can cause waterborne disease.

Physical Fitness

Even though the Mardi Himal Trek does not involve a technical climbing section, trekkers still need to maintain physical fitness for this trek. For Trekkers who have previous trekking experience, it will not be tough but for new trekkers, it’s important to get ready.
