What we collect
We collect information directly from you, automatically from our site, and from partners who help us run trips.
Identity & travel: full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number/scan, visa details.
Contact: email, phone, postal address, emergency contact.
Trip details: travel dates, itinerary/preferences, accommodation, dietary/health notes you choose to provide, insurance policy and provider.
Payments: payment status and method (we do not store full card numbers; payments are processed by our payment providers).
Communications: website form submissions, emails, WhatsApp/phone messages, support notes.
Website data: IP address, device/browser info, pages viewed, referrers, cookie/ID data via analytics and ads pixels (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta).
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. We book minors only with parent/guardian consent.
Why we use your data (and legal bases)
- Plan and operate your trip (bookings, permits, flights, lodging, guides, insurance checks) – contract.
- Safety and emergencies (contacting you/your emergency contact; sharing key info with guides) – vital interests.
- Payments, invoicing, tax and records – legal obligation.
- Support, service messages and trip updates – contract/legitimate interests.
- Site security, fraud prevention, analytics – legitimate interests.
- Marketing that you ask for or accept (news, offers) – consent (you can unsubscribe anytime).
- Health/dietary information you choose to share – your explicit consent so we can arrange meals/assistance.
Who we share with
We do not sell your personal information. We share only as needed to run your trip or as required by law:
- Trip suppliers: local guides/porters, lodges, airlines, permit offices, ground operators (in Nepal and, when relevant, abroad).
- Service providers (processors): booking engine/CRM, payment gateway, email service, cloud hosting/CDN, file storage, analytics/advertising tools, chat/WhatsApp integrations.
- Legal/authorities: if required by law, court order, or to protect rights/safety.
- Business transfers: if we reorganize or sell parts of our business.
We require processors to keep your data secure and act only on our instructions.
International transfers
Your data may be stored in the United States (hosting) and processed in Nepal and other countries where our partners operate. Where laws require it, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum) for transfers outside the EU/UK. You can ask us for details.
How long we keep data
We keep data only as long as needed, then delete or anonymize it.

Security
We use HTTPS, backups, role-based access and multi-factor authentication for staff systems. We limit access to those who need it, train staff on privacy, and review vendors. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
Your choices and rights
Where applicable (EU/UK/US and other regions), you can:
- Access a copy of your data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data (when we no longer need it)
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Port data to another provider
- Withdraw consent (for marketing/health info)
