A representative of Eco Nepal Trekkers will be waiting for you at the Tribhuwan International Airport with a company banner and a banner with your name on it. Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by a Nepali culture flower garland. A representative will take you to the hotel, and a short discussion about the trip will be given. Today, you will have time to visit the Most Popular tourist hub, Thamel. Overnight Stay in Thamel.

Day 2: Morning Pickup from your hotel in Kathmandu and Drive to Budhanilkantha then Day hiking to Shivapuri Drive Back to Hotel

After breakfast today, our tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and our journey will be about 40 40-minute drive to Budhanilkantha (gateway to Shivapuri National Park). After reaching there we will collect the Shivapuri National Park entry ticket and start our trek to Shivapuri Peak. This path offers you a peaceful escape from the city, as the trail winds through lush forests of rhododendron and pine.  You will be amazed by the small waterfalls, hidden waterfalls, and diverse flora and fauna.  You might even spot some monkeys along the way!
It gradually climbs to the Shivapuri Hike, which hike is (2,732 meters), on a clear day you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Kathmandu valley and the snow-capped Himalayan range, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, and Everest. Capture the various scenic views on your camera or phone. And from the summit, we will return to Nagi Gompa and explore its peaceful surroundings again then Return to your hotel, And tonight, we will invite you for a farewell dinner with a cultural dance program and provide you with a hiking certificate.

Choosing the best time for you is important when hiking in Shivapuri National Park, generally, September to early June offers the most pleasant hiking conditions.  Because during these months, you can expect comfortable temperatures, clear skies, and excellent visibility for those breathtaking Himalayan views. What time would be best for you?  Here’s a more detailed breakdown of the seasons to help you plan smoothly:

Autumn (September to November):

During this season you can enjoy breezy and sunny days with an average temperature of 15-20°C (59-68°F). The trails are generally dry, which makes for a comfortable hike. So this season is the best time for Shivapuri hiking.

Winter (December to February):

During this season you can experience the magic of the dust with occasional snowfall!  Temperatures are cold and icy trails are likely.  But microspikes are recommended for better traction.

Spring (March to May):

Hiking amidst a vibrant display of rhododendron flowers during this season!  So the weather is pleasant, and the trails are dry, making for a pleasant hike.

Summer (June to August):

While the park is still accessible during this season, the monsoon season brings frequent rains and the possibility of leeches. Be prepared with rain gear in this weather and will travel with long pants and socks.
